Day 1 (Part 2)

Hello Hello!

I'm back with Part 2 of Day 1 from the XMU Acoustic Lounge. All I can say is WOW! This has been such an unbelievably awesome day of LiVE music thus far. The sweet boys from Bon Savants visited the lounge and after their stellar set we thought the only thing that could top the music would be to create a kick ass pyramid...I mean...come on now...it IS March madness after all ;) Personally, I think we're ready for some Big Ten action. HA! The best part about this day so far has been the bonding between the bands...even though most of them are meeting for the first time...they're sharing instruments...turning each other on to new music...it's awesome. Loney, Dear made fans out of everyone in the room especially Brad from Army Of Me...who left the lounge with not one but two records from Loney, Dear himself. Then the sweet David Terry (aka Aqueduct) came to the lounge with a brand spanken new keyboard scenario...which he then loaned to the boys from Softlightes...because that's just the swell kind of guy he is. The keys and makeshift drums (ie, empty guitar case played with brushes) made for an amazing set from Softlightes. So...thanks David for being such a sharer. It's been a whirlwind of music today and there's still much more to come...I'm stoked to hear The Isles in an acoustic setting...I saw their plugged in set last night and they ruled...they're stopping by the lounge later...it's going to be sweet. Before I sign off for this blog...I want to send out a special thanks to "Intern Kory" for lugging 20 bottles of cold water to the lounge for the artists...you're the best Kory ;) Okay then...I guess that's all for now...I'm being told by engineer Ben that I'm rambling...and I'm like...duh...that's what I do best! But I'm sure he's right...so, bye bye for now. Check out the pictures below...and enjoy. This is Ben writing now...I just took the computer away from Tobi...I'll give it back to her later, promise!
